How do you plan to support Local Businesses?
I plan to support local businesses by reducing unnecessary barriers, improving communication between business owners and City Hall, supporting safe and vibrant neighbourhoods, and encouraging local purchasing and community partnerships. Strong local businesses create jobs, strengthen our economy, and help build a thriving Ward 4.
Do you support breakfast/lunch programs in both elementary and secondary schools in Brantford?
Yes, I support breakfast and lunch programs in both elementary and secondary schools in Brantford. Students learn best when their basic needs are met, and access to nutritious food can improve focus, attendance, wellbeing, and academic success. I believe school nutrition programs should be accessible, inclusive, and supported through partnerships between schools, community organizations, local businesses, and other levels of government. Investing in children and youth is an investment in a stronger, healthier community.
How do you feel about safe injection sites?
Safe injection sites are a complex issue that involves both public health and community safety. I believe people struggling with addiction deserve access to support, treatment, and mental health services that can help save lives and connect them to recovery. At the same time, residents have legitimate concerns about neighbourhood safety, public drug use, and community impacts. My focus would be on evidence-based solutions that improve public safety, expand access to treatment and recovery programs, and ensure communities are consulted and
heard in the decision-making process.
Do you have a plan to support the seniors in our community?
Yes. My plan to support seniors in our community focuses on helping people age with dignity, stay connected, and access the services they need. I would advocate for improved access to affordable housing options for seniors, reliable and accessible transportation, stronger community programming to reduce isolation, and better connections to health and wellness supports. I also believe in creating more opportunities for seniors to stay active and engaged through recreation, volunteer opportunities, and community spaces. Seniors have
contributed so much to our community, and they deserve to feel safe.
How do you plan to expand services for the unhoused?
My plan to expand services for the unhoused starts with meeting immediate needs while creating pathways to long-term stability. I would support stronger coordination between shelters, outreach teams, mental health and addiction supports, and housing providers so people are not navigating services alone. I also believe in increasing access to transitional and supportive housing, improving connections to employment and life-skills supports, and working with community organizations already doing this work every day. The goal is practical, compassionate solutions that help people move from crisis to stability while supporting the wellbeing of the whole community.
What are your thoughts on community safety?
Community safety means creating neighbourhoods where people feel safe, supported, and connected. I believe public safety goes beyond enforcement alone—it includes well-maintained public spaces,
responsive emergency services, stronger mental health and addiction supports, and addressing root causes like housing insecurity and poverty. I support working collaboratively with residents, community
organizations, and first responders to improve prevention, increase accountability, and ensure everyone feels comfortable using our parks, streets, and public spaces. Safe communities are built through both
immediate action and long-term investment in people.
Will you have time to do the work needed for Ward 4?
Yes. If elected, I am prepared to make the time commitment needed to serve Ward 4 properly. I understand that being a councillor is more than attending meetings—it means being visible in the community, listening to residents, following up on concerns, and doing the work between meetings to understand issues and advocate effectively. My background in community involvement and working with vulnerable populations has taught me how important it is to be present, responsive, and accountable. Ward 4 deserves someone who will show up, stay engaged, and work consistently for the people who live here.
How do you plan on communicating with the public at large?
I plan to communicate with the public by being visible, accessible, and consistent. That means maintaining regular updates through social media and my website, attending community events, holding meet-and-greets and open office hours, and being available to hear concerns directly from residents. I also believe in clear communication about council decisions, sharing updates in plain language, and following up so people know their voices are being heard. My goal is to create two-way communication where residents feel informed, included, and connected to what’s happening in Ward 4.
What is your plan to clean up on parks?
My plan to clean up our parks starts with prevention, maintenance, and community involvement. I would advocate for more frequent garbage collection in high-use areas, improved placement of waste and recycling
bins, and regular inspections to address issues before they grow. I’d also support community clean-up events, partnerships with local groups and schools, and stronger accountability for illegal dumping and vandalism. Clean, safe parks make our neighbourhoods healthier, more welcoming, and more enjoyable for everyone.
