Hi, I'm Colleen Goupil, your candidate for Ward 4.
I’ve worked in the legal field and have held meaningful positions and chaired in community services for more than 20 years, and in that time, I’ve seen how major decisions are usually made — with evidence, accountability, long-term planning, and a realistic path forward. My campaign is built on three main pillars of action.
What I Can Contribute to Brantford
Brantford is my home, and I care deeply about the future of our city. I’m running for Ward 4 Councillor because I believe I can bring experience, compassion, accountability and a strong voice for residents to City Hall.
I can contribute:
- 20+ years of experience in the legal field, bringing strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Community leadership and volunteer experience, including my work with the Grand River Council on Aging, the Food Bank Board, the Accessibility Committee and Friendship House.
- A strong commitment to affordable housing, food security and mental health supports.
- A focus on safer neighbourhoods, supporting residents, businesses and our most vulnerable citizens.
- A commitment to transparency and responsible spending. Residents deserve to know how their tax dollars are being used.
- Most importantly, I will bring a willingness to listen, ask questions, work with others and stand up for what I believe is right.
I don’t believe one person has all the answers. But I do believe that when we listen to residents, work together and make thoughtful decisions, we can build a stronger Brantford.
